Prayer is a core value at The Connection Church. It is the foundation of growth in our faith journey while we learn to listen to God's voice and participate in His activity in the world. In scripture, the book of James says, "Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective" (James 5:13-16 NIV). During prayer, we give the Holy Spirit our full attention through thanksgiving and praise, we anoint anyone who is sick or in need of healing, we sing worship songs and read scripture to minister to Lord and to encourage one another, and we spend time journaling or listening in stillness for God's direction.

Wednesdays, 6:00pm to 7:15pm in The Connection Church sanctuary. All are welcome.
